It is believed that the origins of Spider Solitaire date back to France in the 1940s (evidently played manually with physical cards). Its introduction to the world of machines did not occur until 1998, when the Windows operating system included it as part of the entertainment games it offered its users. It was designed to be more challenging than Classic Solitaire in order to provide a greater challenge for players who were already familiar with the original game. Since then, its popularity as a pastime has grown, making it one of the most popular solitaire games on the internet.
Spider Solitaire is played using two decks of cards. The decks can consist of one suit (Spider Solitaire easy level), two suits (Spider Solitaire medium level), or four different suits (Spider Solitaire hard level). The cards will be randomly arranged on the board in ten columns. All cards will be face down except for the card located at the bottom of each column. The leftover cards from the initial deal will remain stacked at the top or bottom of the board.
The goal of Spider Solitaire Free is to clear the board of cards, which requires arranging them in descending order within each column, from King to Ace. Once a column of cards of the same suit is arranged in descending order, it will automatically be stacked in the spaces reserved for that purpose. After stacking eight groups of cards, each of the same suit, the game will be considered complete, and the objective achieved. If no more moves can be made, you can click on the group of leftover cards from the initial deal, and the game will deal a new row of cards. Cards can be moved one by one, or if all the cards in a column are of the same suit and arranged in numerical order, you can select them by clicking on the top card, and they will automatically move as a group to another position.
